advances from unwanted suitors, and suffered pain and
torture for her devotion to our Lord.

We celebrate your faith, dignity, and martyrdom.

Saint Augustine

Beloved Saint Augustine,
you were at first wholly
human~centered and
attached to false teachings.
Finally converted through
God's grace, you became
God~centered, God~loving
and God~preaching.  We
pray that our Lord will renew
in us the spirit which inspired
you.
Filled by this same spirit, may
we thirst after the Lord as the
true source of wisdom.  Amen

Prayer to Saint Anthony

O gentle St. Anthony, by your holy
and apostolic life, you led
countless souls to the love of our
Divine Lord.  I implore you, obtain
for me and my loved ones His
guidance, you who have the power
to lead straying sheep back to the
fold of Christ, and to find articles
that are lost.  On earth your heart
was filled with compassion for those
in distress or sorrow.  Please bring
my request before the Child Jesus,
Who loved to rest in your arms, and
I believe that you will help me to
remain always close to our Divine
lord.  O miraculous Wonder Worker,
in this hour of need obtain what I
ask of you.  Amen
Saint Ambrose

Lord, teach me to seek
you, and reveal  yourself
to me when I seek you
For I cannot seek your
unless you first teach
me, nor find you unless
you first reveal yourself
to me,
Let me seek you in
longing, and long for
you in seeking.
Let me find you in love,
and love you in finding.
Unfailing Prayer to St. Anthony
Feast day June 13
Blessed be God in His Angels and in
His Saints.
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of
Saints, your love for God and Charity
for His creatures made you worthy,
when on earth, to possess
miraculous powers.  Miracles waited
on your word  which you were ever
ready to speak for those in trouble or
anxiety.  Encouraged by this
thought, I implore of you to obtain
for me (mention your request).  The
answer to my prayer may require a
miracle, even so , you are the Saint
of Miracles.  O gentle and loving St.
Anthony, whose heart was ever full
of human sympathy, whisper my
petition into the ears of the Sweet
Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded
in your arms, and the gratitude of my
heart will ever be yours.  Amen
Saint Andrew

We humbly beseech Thy Majesty, O
Lord, that as the blessed apostle
Andrew was once a teacher and ruler
of thy church, so he may ever be our
advocate with Thee.  Through our
Lord, Jesus Christ.  Amen
O Christ, Our Lord, Who didst
beautify the most blessed Andrew
with the grace of apostleship and
crown of martydom, by granting to
him this special gift, that by
preaching the mystery of the cross,
he should merit  death on the cross:
grant us to become most true lovers
of Thy holy cross, and, denying
ourselves, to take up our cross and
follow Thee: that by sharing Thy
sufferings in this life, we may deserve
the happiness of obtaining life
everlasting . Amen
Prayer to St. Aloysius
Patron of Youth
Dear St. Aloysius, faithful follower
of Christ, and loving patron of our
youth, help us today to see right
from wrong.
Let us not lose sight of heavenly
realities, while we apply ourselves
diligently to the circumstances of
our earthly lives.
Enable us to hear God's voice,
follow His will, pursue His purpose
and accept His judgements.

Help us to act to please God
rather than ourselves or others.

Enable me to walk in faith toward
the future that God has promised
to those who accept His word.
Prayer to St. Alphonsus
Glorious St. Alphonsus, loving father of
the poor and sick, all your life you devoted
yourself with a charity really heroic to
lightening their spiritual and bodily
miseries.  Full of confidence in your
tender pity for the sick, since you yourself
have patiently borne the cross of illness, I
come to you for help in my present need.
(Mention your request).
Loving father of the suffering, St.
Alphonsus, whom I invoke as the Arthritis
Saint, since you suffered from this disease
in your lifetime, look with compassion
upon me in my suffering.  Beg God to give
me good health.  If it is not God's will to
cure me, then give me strength to bear my
cross patiently and to offer my sufferings in
union with my crucified Savior and his
Mother of Sorrows, for the glory of God
and the salvation of souls, in reparation for
my sins and those of others, for the needs
of this trouble world, and for the souls in
purgatory.
(Pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, one Glory Be.)
Saint Alphonsus, patron of the sick, pray
for me.l  Amen
